Cross Filter, previously available in Beta, is now generally available.

Assign the same key to charts and query results on a Grid Page to synchronize legend, axis, and frame filtering across multiple visualizations and tables.

Key features

• Synchronize legend selection, deselection, and hover highlighting.

• Apply an axis range selection across multiple charts.

• Synchronize timeline frames.

• Apply chart legend, axis, or frame state to query results and table charts.

• Using the same key can link an X axis with a Y axis, a legend with a category axis, or a legend with a timeline frame. Legend-to-frame synchronization works only when one legend item is selected.

Example use cases

• Select a sales region and filter trends, product composition, and transaction details together.

• Select a date range and update multiple charts and query results to the same period.

• Switch a timeline frame and compare the same point in time across charts.

Filtering applies only to data already loaded in the browser and doesn't rerun SQL. Data filtering from a legend, axis, or frame to a query result or Table Chart is one-way; filtering a table doesn't update charts.
